Samatta’s goal in tie with Everton Albino society lauds

THE Albino Enterprises of Dar es Salaam (AED), have congratulated their Ambassador Mbwana Samatta of KRC Genk football club for scoring a goal against Everton over the weekend.

The foundation’s statement released in Dar es Salaam yesterday by the AED Chairman Michael Lugendo said the goal has heightened Samatta’s professionalism and his success which also mean a lot to the Tanzanians.

AED on behalf of Tanzanian football fraternity is praying for him to go further than he is now, according to Lugendo.

According to Lugendo, due to his huge success in global football scene, the Albino society officially announced Samatta as their ambassador on January 26th last year and officially met with him during his holiday on June 29.

He said Samatta was grateful to finally work hand in hand with people with albinism as their mouth piece.

“We chose Samatta as our ambassador because he is internationally known, therefore he can represent us well internationally and assist us in getting support from donors within and outside the country.”

He added that people with Albinism have various needs such as sun block lotions for their skin which are expensive, 90 percent of them are unemployed so through Samatta they can get donors who would support them financially and establish sustainable projects such us animal husbandry that could help them sustain their daily needs.

The Chairman explained previously they did not benefit from him, but after meeting him they talked on various issues such as promoting their football club ‘Albino United’ and they presented various proposals for him to work on.

Furthermore, he said people with Albinism still need support in every aspect.
